Ekolife Toys

The UK’s most sustainable toy brand, ekolife, has launched just in time for Christmas. The new range presents the perfect choice for plastic-free parenting with eco-friendly toys for eco-conscious families.

Launched by FTSE 100 packaging provider, Smurfit Kappa, the new range consists of 100% sustainable, eco-friendly toys made completely from paper.

The new range, ekolife, went on sale this week and provides parents with a truly sustainable alternative to the vast amounts of non-recyclable toys that flood retailers every year. Consumers are expected to spend around £5 billion on toys EKOLIFE2this Christmas, 90% of which will be made from plastic and other non-recyclable materials, like metal.

The delightfully designed and super durable toys from ekolife include planes, cars, jigsaws, build-your-own shops and castles – all crafted from 100% recyclable, renewable and biodegradable cardboard. The ekolife range also includes canvases that can be coloured in by their new owners to get their creative juices flowing.

The ekolife toys have been designed to encourage children to use their imaginations and enjoy unplugged, traditional play in an increasingly digital, solitary world.

“Many parents we speak with feel guilty about buying more toys when they already have an attic or garage full of broken or unwanted plastic items that cannot be recycled. ekolife toys are designed to provide active and creative fun, encourage group play and at the end of their life, to go into a green bin.

“This means that the toys will be recycled, leaving no trace behind, to become another product in the future – truly circular.”
Morgan Webster, General Manager, ekolife.

Ekolife features a range of twelve products, all of which are 100% renewable, 100% recyclable and 100% biodegradable. The range is available online in the UK and throughout Europe, priced from £9.99. It’s the perfect eco-friendly way to engage and inspire creativity. Children are encouraged to think outside the box, with toys and structures suiting all imaginations. Included in the range are three creative play spaces – the hut, rocket ship, and the fortress – all of which are big enough to accommodate the children and their adventures. These are printed on the outside, but left blank on the inside to allow the young ones to make it their own (£19.99-£24.99).

A travel range featuring ‘pick-me-up planes’, and a race car for those feeling the need for speed (£14.99-£19.99). For kids that fancy a slower pace, the ekolife range offers craft items like canvases (£9.99 for 3) and party packs, which feature large double-sided three-in-one puzzle/game (£19.99).
